Financing

Operating as an alternative source of financing, Community Futures Northwest lends to new and expanding businesses to encourage business development and job creation in West Central Saskatchewan.

Individuals or businesses, groups of individuals, corporations and societies initiating economic development and job creation projects are eligible to apply. Eligibility, lending limits, and fees vary with each loan fund and applicants will have explored other avenues reasonably available for obtaining financial assistance.

Community Futures Northwest receives financial assistance from the federal government through the Department of Western Economic Diversification.

Investment Funds are for investment in local communities. Financial
assistance is provided for projects that align with the
following criteria:

  • Develop and diversify the economy
  • Create or maintain employment by assisting existing local
    businesses to stabilize or expand
  • Help entrepreneurs to create new local businesses

Lending Decisions are made by an Investment Committee and are based on:

A Business Plan
Profitability
Credit History
Owner Equity and Management Ability
