About Us

Welcome to Community Futures!
The Community Futures Program is a federal initiative established in 1985 to build community, economic, and entrepreneurial capacity in rural Canada . Community Futures organizations operate independently and are regulated by the Non-Profit Corporations Act.

In Western Canada , Community Futures organizations are funded by the Department of Western Economic Diversification and are governed by a board of volunteer directors.
